December was a truly magical month filled with festive spirit, new experiences, and unforgettable moments. The first days were all about Christmas markets and the holiday cheer in Milan. I visited the stunning Christmas tree at Piazza del Duomo, which was as enchanting as ever. The twinkling lights, festive decorations, and cheerful atmosphere set the perfect tone for the holiday season.

A Getaway to Lisbon

After the first two weeks of December, I decided to take a short getaway to Lisbon, Portugal. I wanted to explore a new country before the Christmas holidays, and Lisbon did not disappoint. The city was breathtaking with its picturesque streets, colorful tiles, and charming architecture. I spent my days wandering through historic neighborhoods, enjoying incredible views of the Tagus River, and capturing photos of every stunning corner I came across.

Of course, I also indulged in Portuguese cuisine! The food was an absolute highlight,so flavorful and unique. From the famous pastéis de nata to fresh seafood dishes, every bite was a new discovery. Lisbon was vibrant, welcoming, and full of life, and it left me with memories I’ll treasure forever.

Back to Work and Holiday Celebrations

After returning to Milan, I had two days of work before the holidays officially began. Saying goodbye to my colleagues was bittersweet, but we ended the work year on a high note with a lovely Christmas dinner. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, good food, and thoughtful gifts. My colleagues surprised us all with Christmas presents and giveaways, which added a personal and heartwarming touch to the celebration.

Spending the Holidays in Milan

For the holidays, I stayed in Milan, and it turned out to be the perfect decision. Milan during the festive season is simply magical, with lights illuminating the city and a cozy yet celebratory atmosphere everywhere you go.

On New Year’s Eve, I went to a unique place called Gatto Pardo,a former church transformed into a club. It was an extraordinary venue, and the celebrations were incredible. Fireworks lit up the sky as we welcomed 2025, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the new year. Spending New Year’s in Milan felt meaningful because this city has been my home for the past few months, and celebrating here with my loved ones made it even more special.
